Yes, foreigners can also benefit from the car rental services offered in Turkey, just like Turkish citizens. With driver's licenses obtained from foreign countries, the vehicle can be used for a maximum of six months from the date of entry into Turkey. Foreigners who want to drive in Turkey must replace their driver's licenses with a Turkish driver's license at the end of six months from their entry into Turkey.

The conditions needed when renting a car vary according to the car and the rental company. However, we can list the minimum requirements for foreigners to rent a car in Turkey as such:

  • The person who will rent the vehicle must be 21 years old,

  • If an A, B, F group vehicle is to be rented, the person must have a driver's license for at least 1 year,

  • The foreigner's passport must have an entry stamp of the time he entered Turkey,

  • The person who will make the rental must have at least one credit card that can be valid in Turkey for payment and deposit transactions.
